## Why Befect Was Created We regard life extension, human security (as defined by UNDP), and sustainable human development as our highest priority values. In realizing these three values, accomplishing such significant and numerous tasks through human effort alone is overwhelming, challenging, and has many limitations. We believe all of this can become achievable when artificial intelligence aligned with our goals assists and collaborates with us in performing all these tasks together. People have various thoughts in their minds, but cannot instantly recall everything, and synthesizing the thoughts in our minds to find what we want is very difficult. Therefore, when people have difficulty remembering their thoughts, they often pass by indifferently or regretfully. If we could instantly recall the desired thoughts in our minds, the resulting choices would become much clearer, and if those memories are particularly significant, we could synthesize new information to obtain different choices or better results. Through that process, we can clearly understand what we want and identify various characteristics. We view all people in the world who see, feel, and think as independent beings. If we can understand the diverse characteristics of such independent individuals, we can provide a high level of satisfaction, and we aim to create new technologies and information by introducing and applying this to artificial intelligence. We believe such technology can make meaningful contributions to creating a better world through new information, products, rules, society, and culture that artificial intelligence will help develop in the future. ## Our Technology We understand data by learning the basic concepts and meanings that people think about and identifying their characteristics. We efficiently define and process data while learning autonomously. This is a new technology for machines to understand humans, and is artificial intelligence designed for machines to systematically and semantically grasp and understand information. Existing artificial intelligence has reached breakthrough levels of performance, often approaching and sometimes surpassing human expert capabilities. However, while it can identify correct information from accumulated data, there has been room for improvement in creating models with better new characteristics due to limited information. As a result, it has sometimes been difficult to clearly understand the thinking and criteria by which artificial intelligence creates that data. No matter how good the results and performance may be, additional verification and improvement may be necessary to use or integrate it to the level that humans desire. This is because while it processes in a human-like manner, continuous development is needed to implement deep thinking and insights like humans in thinking or processing problems.
